Mouseman Logitech problem

hey people i went through the painful process of setting up my startx. i was finally able to do it. but i was so excited that i didnt notice my mouse doesnt move no core problems. just when it gets to KDE or gnome its stuck no moving. it sucks.!!! help please

There should be a program called mouseconfig that you can run from the commandline.

If that doesn't work, I have the same mouse as you, so you can use these settings in your XF86Config file:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
EndSection

Make sure you use the same Identifier that's used in the ServerLayout section.

If you don't have USB support yet, you'll need to set it up, but that's another issue.
