Comment:

Yesterday I was messing with the Mandrake Control Center, and wanted to get my three button mouse to work properly. I clicked a different mouse than it was currently on (which was USB wheel mouse). Now, I don't have a mouse at all. I managed to get under Gnome prefs and configured the numpad on the keyboard to work as a mouse for the time being.

Also, when I go back in the mouse properties and try to configure the mouse, the settings don't take. It never changed from USB Wheel mouse, and when I try to change it it still won't take the new settings. what gives?

Also.. Ran xf86config and all, didn't help any.. Looked at the xf86config file and it seemed like it was fine also. Kind of stumped here :/
