Although I am not familiar with how deli linux is setup, you should be able to configure your mouse by using the xf86config program. You will need to know a few things about your mouse. For more info on what you'll need, check this out: http://www.xfree86.org/current/mous...

Just out of curiosity, what made you install deli linux?

Another way for your friend to get familiar with linux is to load a "live" cd/dvd. There are a number of distributions with "live" versions. A live version, does not install to the hard drive by default. It runs entirely from the CD and memory. Therefore you can run it on most PC's...when you are done remove the CD and boot into Windows like usual. Distributions that I know of that offer The LiveCd/DVD versions are:

Knoppix
Gnoppix
CentOS 4.4 i386

I am sure there are others also.

Harold
