Mounting ntfs on Red Hat 8.0

I was a windows xp user but I'm slowly switching to Linux (RH 8.0) and I want to mount a hard drive with all my stuff on it, it's got ntfs format.. how the heck do I do it!!!?!!!?

Please help.. I'm loosing hair over this.

NTFS support might not be "alive" on your system. You might have to recompile the module. Here's some good info:

I had the same problems with RH7.3.
In your KDE(xwindow), you can run kernel configuration (select envrionment -> system -> kernel configguration ?).
Here you cand see FileSystem(-config) on the rear. If you click or open this sector you can select some file systems such as FAT32, NTFS, HTFS etc. Choose NTFS(read-only). Rebooing your computer and you will be happy.
