I have mandrake linux installed and when I go into x-windows, I get black borders on all four sides of the screen. Is it possible to get a full screen in linux? I have a Dell monitor which was manufactured in July 1996. It works fine with MS windows.

Thanks.

the black borders is fixed from the controls on the monitor itself, expand the horizontal and vertical until the display get out to the edge.
