I've been trying to get linux distros to install on my HP Pavilion xg833 for some time now, and have gone through RedHat, Mandrake, Slackware, Debian, and SuSE. So far, SuSE is the only one that can detect my graphics card. I'm in the middle of a Mandrake installation and it's showing the huge list of graphics cards. Does anyone know what I should select for the onboard graphics in an xg833?

Why not make a copy of SuSE's /etc/X11/ XF86Config(-4) file and use it with another distro? If you don't want to go through the hassle of reinstalling SuSE, try knoppix which boots off a CD and detects most hardware fine.
