How do I install my intel HaM 56k modem in Red Hat 7.2 with the kernel that came with it? I downloaded the drivers from intel and I have no clue on what to do

Did you install the drivers? There's usually
a "readme" that comes with them. Gives step
by step instructions. It's pretty simple.
Get stuck ,post what you did and where you're
having problems.

I followed the instruction in the readme and it did not work. It was complaing of missing files. don't remeber the name of those files

Kernel headers maybe? Kernel Source?
Without knowing files needed there isn't
much I can tell you. Sorry.

I have the same problem as 666,
I am trying to install a Intel HaM 56k modem, (chipset Intel MD563x - HaM) and have downloaded the driver for the kernel that i am using (2.4.7). After logging on as root, I can run the first 2 commands, make clean and make all, these work and it doesn't have any error message, but when i try and run make install, the following is returned.bash haminst
running kernel 2.4.7-10
Installing hamregistry, used for persistent storage
Installing ham module
Install: cannot stat `ham.o': No such file or directory
Installing hamcore module
Install: cannot stat `hamcore.o': No such file or directory
redhat hamboot rc2.d and rc3.d scripts
Starting module and utilities
insmod: hamcore: no module by that name found
doneCan someone please tell me what I am doing wrong as i need to use the modem as soon as possible...
Cheers.
