hello every body i have installed linux mandrake 9.0. but it is not installing modem. i have lucent win modem. does it support linux?? farooq.

The modems that we use on our computer are winmodems ie. they are made for use on windows system... you can search for the modem driver on the internet using the modem type or model number and don't forget to specify linux drivers in search. I have motorola sm56 modem for which I downloaded the drivers and it works fine on my linux machine...

hi there i have installed the redhatlinux 10(i.e: fedora core)it didnt install the modem driver. ihave conexant modem.help me to install the driver.
