hey all

major problem here.
im using red hat 9 with everything installed.

i want to setup my modem on my laptop.. i tried using lspci to find it and i saw it.. it was a:
"Modem: Intel Corp. 82801DB AC'97 Modem (rev 03)"

i cant use it for some reason. i have setup dialup connection with password etc. but i cant really select the modem since its not in the list over modems....

im looking for a driver but no luck yet... is it possible that if i change kernel that i will get teh modem working?

can i just modify the kernel?

the red hat site said they supported it and that the driver was on a cd. but i cnt find it anywhere...

plz help me...

btw. im a major linux noob!!
