OS: RedHat Linux 9

Comment:

I installed RedHat Linux on Virtual PC 5 (with Windows XP as the Host OS) and when I boot Linux it says "Missing Operating System". Does anybody know how to fix it?
Thanks

Did you create a boot floppy during the install? Try booting from that....

Nope, I didn't, but I just re-installed Linux with a boot-loader (I installed without one the first time) and it worked fine. So, I guess that it's safe to assume that that was the problem.
BTW, I made a boot-disk this time just in case...

How do you expect the system to boot if you didn't install a bootloader???

I thought that it would boot right into Linux without giving me the GRUB Screen. I'm kind of new to Linux...
Anyway, problem solved and thanks for your posts
