CPU/Ram: P2 Intel 512 kb

Got my pc installed with Red Linux 9 Fedora Core 3. Connect my Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse to usb and it freeze. Reboot the sys a few time and still no go. Work fine with my normal usb mouse. Anyone has this problem ? Need help...tks.
