Hi,
I want to use my Mediaone Cable modem as internet connection for a LINUX based server. Can I do that? Does anybody know, what's the best way to set it up?
If someone could help me out, that would be great. Thank you.

I use a machine running Redhat 6.1 to run IPMASQ and IPCHAINS to split my connection to an internal network. If you're just connecting to the Linux box then all you need to do is have the network card (eth0) installed and BOOTPROTO=dhcp.
