Hello. I am setting up a very large Linux mail network, and need to know what the maximum number of users on a Linux server is. I need to be able to support 200,000 users.(really)

How many servers do I need to accomplish this?

One server would do fine. (depending the the version of software)

Since you didn't suggest what was needed I assume nothing was going to be done with the server.

Now if your users require some processing or file access or concurrent connections or application or transaction processing then that would be a horse of a different color.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

Thank you! The users would have e-mail/webmail only.
