Mandrake: Windows have dissapeared

I'm running Mandrake 8.1. Windows no longer appear on the bottom panel, so when i minimise them I have to alt-tab to get them back (as I can't click on them). Does anyone know what may be causing this and/or how to fix it?

You don't say what window manager you are using, but if you right-click on a blank bit of the panel, you should be able to add it from there.
