Hi Friends
I have two operating systems win 2000 & Mandrake 8.2. and I have 8 fat 16 partitions of 2 GB. I deleted 2 windows partions and make them 1 of 4 GB. But my Mandrake 8.2 does not booting. I tried from boot floppy and typed on the Boot prompt linux root=/dev/hda8 instead of hda14 on syslinux.cfg and finds it is booting mandrake but it stops after checking filesystem and saying it is correpted with a message that is do you want to repair(y/n) when i try to yes but i don't know how to fix it.
If i give normal boot by pressing ctrl + D the system reboots.

Some help me
Thank you

if u get to that login screen log in with your root password. then do:
fsck /dev/hdXX
where hdXX is the partition which it says is corrupted. do this for all curropted filesystems and then press ctrl+d to reboot.

i would recommend you to use ext3 or xfs since it isnt corrupted so easily as ext2
