mandrake 9.2 & KDE

CPU/Ram: intel celeron

i'v installed linux mandrake 9.2 and kde, but it doesnt load KDE when i turn my pc on.. and im a linux n00b, i dont know how to fix it. it does however load into linux command line, i gues you would call it, it asks for my root & password login

login as root (you should have set the password during install) and then run 'startx'. if you want to load to a graphical login screen, then go straight to kde, (im not sure if this is the same in mandrake), as root, open /etc/inittab. then change the line:
id:3:initdefault:
to:
id:4:initdefault:
and reboot.

^.^ i just formatted and reinstall fixed it
:P umm thanks for your help :) i would use
some help w/ a webserver though.. i have a
site www.indigostar.com that has a
preconfigured apach w/ php and perl for
windows. is there anything like that for
linux?

Apache is included with most distributions
these days...together with PHP and perl.
