Dig this: I have Asus K7N266-C motherboard, which has the sound built in. Linux thinks it is a I810 sound. Well, some of my programs didnt have souund with it (Namely UT2003 and others.) So I reinstalled with a SB Live!. Now, I want to try to use the onboard sound again. Can anyone give instructions on how to go about removing old sound drivers for the SBLive and geting mandrake 9.0 to redetect/install correct sound drivers for the new?
In short, I want to uninstall old sound drivers, and redetect new sound card without reinstalling mandrake 9.0. Thank you so much.

Hi.
Make sure that your onboard sound is disabled in the BIOS. Mandrake should configure the SB on its own when rebooting. If not, open a terminal and run sndconfig. Sound Blaster works great in Mandrake 9.0 (that's what I'm using also).
Hope this helps.

Not when I enable onboard. When I take sb out, and enable onboard, it is still trying to load the old sb drivers (and vice versa)
