I'm installing Mandrake 8.1 and when I come to the network card section, my network adapter (Linksis) is not one of the choices, so I can't figure out how to finish installing the system. Is there a way to maunually chose Linksys or do I need to buy a new ethernet card such as 3com that is provided in the list of options?

Did you try looking at the linksys website?
I think linsys uses Realtek chipset - look
at the chip(s) on the card - if one says
Realteck or RLTK or something it might work
if you use the Realtek dev driver. But
start on the Linksys website -

TheWooky here again -

Try the tulip driver for the linksys cards.
I was in error in my last post - Linksys
does not use RLTK chipset...sorry - but
tulip driver may work - looked on the
website for linksys - that's what they are
saying. Go to the linksys website and use
their search box and enter "linux compat"
that's what I did...
