I am currently running Mandrake 8.0, up for 5 days past the initial reboot. I only have one difficulty with the OS. The System states the modem is busy when dial tried thru kppp. I altered the /etc/isapnp.conf, uncommenting COM2, the slot for the US Robotics 56k voice modem. Nothing worked - HardDrake doesn't even recognize the device as being a modem. All in all, for a 15 minute install, I have no complaints - it beats the heck out of windows *.* **WooH**
I agree, the new version kicks ass! I use high-speed cable for the internet so i don't have the modem worries. Everything configured perfect upon installation. LINUX RULES!
