Sounds like my problem. I at least got errors in mine. Do you have onboard video and another video card installed?
That is my problem, can't get an answer on how to disable my onboard chip.
The Linux is trying to boot the onboard video and I don't know how to stop it. My bios does not have an option to disable the chip, you have to do it in Windows, which does not work in Linux of course.
MAybe someone out there would know and help us???
The geeks are always talking up Linux then we can't get any help for these problems.
I am ready to choke the Penguin and toss the body in the trash until Linux is more user friendly.

I don't know about the onboard havn't got one, but i don't think linux will like having the 2.
Yes linux can have some frustrating hardware probs. they are usually solvable but microsoft can be impossible.
Anyway i am up and running, touch wood
thanks for reply

Royce, sounds like your from aus, goto your local newsagent, have a linux pocket book wiht RH (and mandrake) on it for like $15, plus 2cds of stuff and a pretty usefull guide.

I found RH was fine even thouhg mandrake was rooted.

you can disable an onboard video card by setting jumpers on the motherboard.... check the manual if you have it
