Hi, I have couple of questinons. I bought a new samsung HDD 160gb with external casing USB 2.0.
The vendor assembled USB for testing and connected to his computer. Surprisingly, in disk management, the new hdd is shown as 5 partitions with drive letters. Is this normal or the vendor cheated me for a used hdd. Also, guys a)give me one solid step by step doc for installing redhat linux on USB hdd. b) I want to use the HDD USB as shared device for the two linux installtions on local hdd using VMWARE. How do I do that. I start two linux installations from windows vmware and then I want to see the external USB drive as a shared drive. please help me. I am doing a RAC install on it now.
