I am trying to install my lucent LTmodem and generic driver and need to identify my config file that specifoies the contents of my kernel but I cannot "locate" the configs file its not in /boot/ or /usr/src/linux/

I also need to rectify some start up processes that need files adore.o cleaner.o and magik h but I cannot "locate " them either. I suspect adore.o is notloaded correctly. Any suggestions please.
