in my Linux/Windows LAN (Redhat9 and windows XP's) after setting up SAMBA on the Linux machine, I can view and browse the Linux machine from the windows machine. but on the Linux machine itself i can see both the windows and Linux machines but cannot browse the Linux server (i mean from the SAMBA window). even though i can browse windows machines from the SAMBA window. Actually i renamed this Linux machine during installation. so the name is not localhost but RedhatSamba so i'm suspecting if that will be the problem because the error message that comes up when i double clich this RedhatSamba machine is: "Could not display smb://RedhatSamba because no host RedhatSamba could be found.check that the spelling is correct and that your proxy settings are correct" how do i resolve this problem pleas?
