Hi all,

My experience with Linux is very limited, so please be patient. I have a Lexmark T622 setup for TCP/IP printing on all my Windows machines. I'd like to set it up on my Linux Server. I think I installed the drivers correctly via RPM (everything came up OK), but I'm not quite sure what else I need to do. I know Linux deals with daemons, so I'm wondering if there is a printer daemon and perhaps it needs to be turned on. Can anyone help me out? Remember, I have only a bit of Linux experience (I like it though). ;)

Cheers,

Mike

Always try the distribution's documentation.

check the printer daemon (lpd) status. You can do that by looking for it in the process by using the command (ps -a | pg).
