CPU/Ram: AthlonXP2000/512
Comment:

A while back i had 256 ram. I sometimes run linux liveCD Knoppix or dual boot mandrake and windows. Then I got memory upgraded to 512 and was running only windows XP. Recently I need to use linux, so tried Knoppix again, but crashes after it loads KDE or crash during loading. Then tried Ubuntu(livecd), same thing happend. So I got mepis, samething crashes after it load or it crashes during loading. Then i tried to install Ubuntu, Suse 9.1, and mandrake 10.1, all crashed during installation. Since I run linux fine b4 memory up, so i did memtest, nutting is wrong. In addition, XP works perfectly w/o any programs.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried reseating the graphics card
in case you nudged it when inserting the
memory? What errors make you think it is
your VGA card?
