guys i just installed phat linux i am a newbie when i ran xfdrake --noauto it told me to configure my card i got an intel 810e chipset card but then it asked me to cofigure my monitor and i did it i did what it said and then the res was bad and very bad it was like big big boxes and couldnt see nethng x gives an error sayin res cant work in 16 bbp or 15 bbp and over bit mode i dunno y pls help me

hi,

try to hack as root

/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or just XF86Config if u dont have the previous

just look for section "screen" and change
default depth and depth to fit ur needs 8 16 24 32 etc
