Comment: Hi. I have an adsl modem, 5 win98 system and 1 redhat linux 7.3 system -all connected in one lan. What i have planned is, installing this modem in linux system, use it as a powerful proxy server for my other win systems. Now my adsl modem doesn't have driver files for linux. so iam forced to intall the modem in any one of the windows system, along with any free proxy in order to make internet connection sharing. But am not at all happy with the windows free proxies. Continous browsing from my lan was not possible with any of the proxy. Now i badly need to function this linux system as my proxy server. is there any way to do this? suriya

Reply: (edit)ADSL works with Linux. rp-pppoe is an easy-to-use GUI configuration tool for DSL in Linux and other free UNIX-like OSs. It's what I used to configure a Yahoo SBC connection.
