Comment: I am new to Linux. I have installed the linux printer driver provided by Samsung in the KDE Control Center but when I print a test page nothing prints. Linux says "Test page was successfully sent to the printer." I don't even get an error message. I can print a test page from the LCD panel on the printer so I know the printer is working. I have tried printing from a text document but that didn't work either. I also have the same problem with my Canon i350 printer. I am just trying to print locally not through a network connection. How do I get my printer to print a test page?

Reply: (edit)I have managed to get my printer to print through my network using Samba and Windows. I still can't print locally from Linux. When I open the print queue on windows I am not able to see any print jobs while printing. I get an access denied error message when I try to pause or stop print jobs from windows. What should I do to make the print jobs visible and be able to stop and start them in the print queue?

Reply: (edit)Are you using cups? If so have you tried configuring it by going to http://127.0.0.1:631 in a web browser? You should be able to print a test page from there.
