It appears that this is a Windows GDI printer (a "winprinter"), and therefore getting it working with anything but Windows is going to be challenging, if not impossible, and trying to get it running on a older distro of Linux (Redhat 7.2, which is about 3 years old) is probably not going to make things any easier.

Well, linuxprinting.org says "no". However, a poster there found support for it from Canon Japan:

Who knows. It's worth a shot.

You could also try the net-based CUPS configuration as an alternative.
