Ever since i have installed Linux(redhat) and created extra partitions through the installation program I have been unable to use partition magic on my windows partition.
I am also having trouble mounting my other data harddrive to browse when using linux.

I believe , although im not sure it may be because i didnt name the partiton i created for linux. So it has no drive letter. I can analyse my drives using the partition information program that comes with partition magic and it regognises all partitions fine and refers to my linux one as "Boot Record for drive *: (Drive: 1, Starting sector: 10,538,766, Type: Ext-2)"

Would this be giving me problems either with file mounting and partition magic.
I cant load any versions of Partition Magic on windows and i need to distribute some free space.

I had the same problem a few times.
I created the partitions with p magic and formated them under linux (because reiser fs isnīt supported by p magic); it worked fine.

Note that you will never see drive letters for partitions with a file system not supported by win (i.e. everything but fat).
