hello,
i was reading an old message on this site which said linux works on xeon.Do all versions of linux work on xeon( say even rhel 1-4 as/es/ws including the updates).Is there anyway of knowing this compatibility apart from installing the OSs.The sites of linux and intel were not very helpful on this issure.Kindly help.

I run slackware and debian on xeons no problems. I have also booted live CDs like knoppix and phlak without fault....I think you should be OK with just about any distro.
