IS it true that only Mandrake can install on a NTFS partiton (windows xp home)? I want to SUSE on my computer. I have slave (20gig) drive too.

Nope! Mandrake comes with a program that would allow you to resize your NTFS partition to make room for Linux. It must install on an empty partition with either ext2, ext3, or reifser (Linux filesystem)...
