Hi there,
after reading
http://www.aaxnet.com/editor/edit029.html , which contained troubling
information, some of which most Windows users know of, i started working on
a Linux system.I got Linux Red Hat 8.0, and will have to put that on an already existing
RAID (MSI K7T Turbo / R, motherb with built on Promise RAID chip) system, on
which the first partition is WinXP. I already prepared a Linux Ext2 and swap
partition on the RAID (2 x 80 Gb). So far so good ?Well, i will need some assistance with the final step, getting Linux
bootable cd to recognize the RAID config, in order to be able to install.
All it does now is tell me it needs to erase all data on the HD since it
doesnot recognize the boot structures .. i'd rather not :-)So, who can help me ? I probably only need a driver disk, but maybe
overlooking something ( i know this same thing happens with Winxp, but i can
easily use the driver disk to tell Win to use it to access the RAID)Hope someone is so kind to help me ..
regards,
SMR
