Hi all,

Has anyone have installed Linux on a Laptop Digital HiNote VP745 or VP700 series? I wanna do the jump to Linux as only OS in a computer and I am planning to start with my laptop which I use only for web surfing, email and eventually word processing and presentations. So, I started by doing some "homework", I have some documents about internet and email settings. Also, I have found some documents regarding problems with Linux installation in some laptops...but all of them involve "old" linux versions. I haven't found documents mentioning Redhat 8.0 or Mandrake 9.0 in laptops. Any pointer?
I will appreciate any help.

Paco
