linux mouse sensitivity

im running red hat 8.0 i dont konw that much about linux i use KDE desktop environment thing
i was just wondering how to the turn the mouse sensitivity up.. it moves SOOOO slow..

you can mess around with the mouse using the "xset m" command. type "man xset" to get the full man page, however, the m option is to change settings for the mouse.
if you type "xset m 100 10" this will move your mouse 100 times faster after it has been moved past the treshold of 10 pixels.
have a play with it... you should be able to get something working.

i don't understand your last post...
both GNOME and KDE desktop environments run through an XWindows server which also controls the mouse and the display.
if you open a terminal and type 'xset' you should be greeted with a full list of options.
if you type the commands that i suggested in my first post into a terminal you will be able to set up the mouse sensitivity as you require.
