Where can I find a Linux compatible USB modem. I’m changing my familes 3 computers to Linux as soon as I can, but since they are all win modemed, were kinda stuck (they all work well with linux btw) ...(and YES I know about linmodems.com). So that’s why I need an external modem [3 computers], secondly, I’m looking for 56k v.92 and v.44 specifically, any help would be greatly appreciated. Tried googling, and zoom is about the best with there serial, but I really need a USB, really trying.
I‘m not that Linux obsessed to go out and buy 3 internal cards btw =].

Any modem which follows the "usb-modem" specification will work. There are some modems that are actually serial modems fitted with a usb-serial converter device. Whether they will work or not depends on the usb-serial device.

Do you have any model examples which follow the usb-modem specification? Specifically one that states, Linux compatible with the windows, freebsd or whatever, and if they are reputable like robotics and zoom.
I'm not so sure I'm 100 comfortable with the serial to usb, but if it'd work, I'd be for that. I have a usb to ps2 converter and it works for me, usb or ps2.
Thankyou
