Which linux mandrake is more bug free, 9.1 or 10.0? Would 10.0 work well on the system I have?
Thanks

I would go with 10 because:

- better support for soundcard (in 9.2 the driver for the ACī97 soundcard of my mobo didnīt work).
- no need to fiddle around with scsi emulation to get the cd/dvd burning software to work.

Only problem is qtparted, the partitioning program.
If you let Mandrake 10 create partitions during install you can kiss booting into windows goodbye. It messes up your partition table.

create the partitions first with an older Linux version or another partition program like Partition Magic.

nah.. you just need to becareful when using the partitioner. i made that mistake too.

besure to select the EMPTY partition you wish to autoparition on. if you do not, then the WHOLE HD will autopartition.
