Comment:

Hi. I am running a web server (Apache ADVX) on Mandrake 10 (kernel 2.6). I have been trying to check the server's uptime using Netcraft, but they say that "Linux on Intel x86 processor from kernel version 2.5.25" does not provide uptime information. Is there any way to change this? Thanks.

Can you not use the "uptime" command. You could write a simple cgi script in perl which should include the line:
print `uptime`;
