Linux Installation hangs up

I have a problem at installing linux.
Firstly I boot linux, then I enter the mode to select how you want to intall linux, either graphical or text, I press enter and choose the graphical one.
Then the message comes which says "Uncompressing Linux... OK booting Kernel"
And then it hangs up. I have also tried using the text mode but still fail.
Summary: I am getting frustrated with a pretty comical issue... I can't install the OS because it is looking for braille display... It just keeps on looking, in the mean time I am f***d and I can see, can you ...
Summary: I'm in a real pickle trying to install RedHat 6.2 (I know it's old but it's what I currently have on CD and a neighbor's kid wants it installed while he's home for the weekend) on a Compaq Presario 70...
