hi guys,
here is the situation. My computer has winXP with the following layout of hardisk.
C: NTFS 8GB D: NTFS 7GB ext2 3.5GB swap 500MB
now I want to install Fedora Core 4 into it. All is set but when I start installation, it does a few testing and then a blue screen comes in and hangs.
I want to install Linux from hard disk now. Does anyone know how to do it ?? I dont want to install it from the CDs anymore. Just tell me how to do it from hard disk.

I assume you want to install and use X11 and either the Gnmome or KDE interface. Your system does not meet the mininum memory requirements for this (192meg) even if it did you are running very close to the minimum hard drive space requirement of 3gb and you wouldn't be able to do much. I would suggest you upgrade your hard drive and memory before trying again.

Even if it your FC4 could not fit comfortably into 3.5 GB/128MB ram (I think it can by carefully selecting the packages during installation), this is not any reason for a blue screen.
Where did you get your FC4 CDs?
When you say "install from hard disk", do you mean coping another installation or using the HD in the same way you are using CDs?
