Hey there everyone, I am a newbie to linux, and yesturday i installed rh linux 5.2 and it chose to use the X Windows SYSTEM which i know is a gui but when i installed everything and restarted the computer started in the command line and not in the GUI as i wanted it to!!!! Can anybody tell me what is going on!
The latest free version of RedHat is Fedora, prior to that 9.0. I have run Redhat 9.0 and XWindows on a system as slow as 350mhz. 150mhz will probably be too slow for these versions. I would suggest RedHat 7.2 or 7.3. CD images can be downloaded here: http://www.linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=7
