Actually the free version gives you the capability to test it. When it prints it prints a huge coloured logo on every page.
On the plus side though it is an excellent programme. I bought a licence and I have used it on my i350 and when I replaced it with a Canon Pixma i3000 it works as well. I presume your printer is a Pixma MP130. If it is then the driver is listed for it and it will work as well.
My suggestion... by the licence it is worth it.

The linux driver for Canon ip1500 printer also work for Canon PIXMA MP130 printer.
