I have 20 pc's running win98se all connected to the network with the tcp/ip protocol. All connected via a switch/hub.We have one pc running linux redhat 7.2 which acts as a email server.A digital line has been installed for internet/email.This line is attached to a cisco 805 router, which in turn is plugged into the switch/hub.The email server(linux) has an ip address of 192.168.0.1(internal). All pcs can ping email server. All pcs can ping router gateway ip address. The email server can ping all other pcs on the network, however here is the problem. Why cant the email server(linux) ping the router??? Please advize!

Are the Win98 clients being served a gateway via DHCP? Is the email server's IP and gateway static? What is the output of "/sbin/route"? There should be a default route pointing to your gateway.
