I have setup a RedHat 7.2 machine as a domain controller. Everything works, except my Linux computer cannot access files on my windows 2000 SP2 machine. The windows computer can access files on the Linux box with no problem. I am using SAMBA for file sharing. I have tried setting the computers to use encrypted and unencrypted passwords and made accounts of the same name/password on each. Gnomba, mount find the Win2K computer, but it wont take the username/password. I believe the problem is with W2K SP2. Any fix for this, Thanks. (Samba version is the default that comes with RH 7.2; 2.2.1, I think)
