Can't see why not, especially if people are only browsing the web. What would you expect not to work?

If the game only needs a browser than probably yes. However, if it needs some sort of program installed on the client side than no, unless the game specifically states it can be run under Linux. Very few (if any) Windows programs run under Linux.

having been working as guest in dozens of cybercafes abroad ( Asia / Eurolpe ) - i see 2 type fo customers in typical cybercafes

1.
- tourists who do their business, mail, documents while away from home
- toiurists using their own laptop using cyb ercafes merely for www access on their own HW
- local customers who do their limited PC or www work in cybercafes because they may have too little to need a computer of their own
- schools using cybercafes for scheduled class work for lack of school owned www access / PCs - often during low business hrs at reduced price ( i have seen 2 different cybercafes being fully occupied on regular basis for an hour or two by a complete class of students under supervision of their teacher ...

hence local or foreign customers working online using the computer and internet access either while away from home or for lack of own computer

2.
another rather small part of customers are ( mostly ) younger ones using internet cafes for games

i have no knowledge about games at all ..

but if you have a percentage of both above, you still have the option of dual boot systems, one of the largest internet cafes here uses 2 rooms of approximately equal size / number of PCs, one loud ... for games
antoher quiet for all work, printing, document writing, surfing, email, etc - including work space for laptop users

for regular cybercafe users of above group 1 there are many benefits and i see zero disadvantages so far.
see also my experience after installing Linux for cybercafe use in a resort
Linux Internet cafe conversions - WIN to Linux

advantages besides zero cost for software and updates are
- stability
- virus free - regular cybercafes get daily dozens of virus !!
- regular updates at zero cost - hence always newest versions of software affordable
- ease of use for admin and user
- large number of commercial application for regular small office home office use
see:
Novell/SuSE Linux Desktop Equivalents of Windows Software

i see only advantages - and in the worst of all cases a few stations using dual boot
