Does anyone know how to setup linux box as a network router. I have looked around for source, but seems like there is no lead. Can anyone help?

Screw that, use BSD. OpenBSD is probably the best of them, because default install, only has about 10 - 15 procs running. You don't need about 3 or 4 of them, all you need for services, is SSH. You can run dhclient, if u don't have a static ip.. and lets see, thats about it, take you maybe 2 hours to setup completely... including adding PF and NAT rules, which is about all ya gotta do. Anyways, good luck if you stick with the linux way.

Zebra is excellent, and provides you with
all the routing capabilities you need.

That and 2.4's adv.routing capabilities
and iptables make linux a logical choice
as an internet router.
The BSD/*nix clowns may know their
platforms well, but they obviously know
very little about what linux can do and how
it can be done.It is typical of these kinds of folks to
point out the scarcity of "processes" as
proof of their platforms superiority and
security.
Please be aware that these are opinions
from people who are as biased in their way
as diehard windows NT fanatics.
Yes, I have used FreeBsd and found it very
reliable, but NO MORE so than an equally
configured linux machine. There are no in-
surmountable barriers between securing and
configuring a linux machine as a router and
there are distributions that specialize in
this. I recommend trustix secure linux for
this type of work, but any distro will do.
I will go so far sa to say that I prefer
the flexibility of linux in this role to
any of the berkeley distros. YMMV
