I wonder if it is possible to install Linux on UDMA 66 hard drive? Indeed, i have a bios addapter on the ABIT BE6 motherboard that it is not usable within the install process. Answer me if you succeed in the install of Linux in such condition. thank you.

I do not understand what the problem is. UDMA/66 is backwards compatible and install process should just use the compatible mode (16) for installation.
I have an UDMA/66 HD and installed about 5 different distros on it without a problem. To actually get the HD to run on 66 mode, you should put that in the kernel and do some configuration.

I have the same motherboard and I HAD Mandrake 6, but then I found that Mandrake 7 supported UDMA 66 and was able to put that on my good comp. Try Mandrake 7 instead.
