about 2 weeks ago i booted my computer from a linux(unix?) disc, the first time i tried it froze so i manually shut down, then loaded an older version of linux, after i was done looking around, i shut down the computer and started it back up, it did a chkdsk, then i got to log in, and notice my computer is running really slow, so after disk degregments and regristry cleaners and trying system restore(which wouldn't load from save points), i got my computer resonable but still slow, so....
i tried to reload drivers, which worked but now my screen is loading from top to bottom when i open something or start the computer and my internet does not work.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?? =(

Before anyone can help you more information is needed:
What type of hard drive do you have?
Which video card?
Which Linux(Unix) disks did you try to boot?
Which disk succeeded?
What happened with the one that would not boot (e.g.: why did it fail or at what point did it stop)?
What did you do while you were "looking around" when using the disk that did boot?
Please try to keep your response concise and to the point while including all the details.
