I would get a copy of redhat 7.3 and try installing it. Unless you have a really weird hardware setup then you should be ok. The only problems tend to be with modems. Give it a go, just back up all your data first.

Whichever Linux distro you want to install, always a good idea to check their website for hardware compatibility!!!
