Comment:

I had Linux running my home network and I split a cable connection to many computers in my house. Since @home went under AT&T took over and they are using Dynamic IPs instead of my static one that I had with @home. I went into my linux and change the rc.inet1 so that it included DHCP="yes" and I thought that this would be all that I would have to do , but as it turned out that didn't work. I was wondering if anyone else could give me some advice.

Thanks,
Cameron

Try loading the dynamic ip address module in your firewall script (rc.firewall) with the following command

echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr

If that doesn´t work have a look at your routing table ( route -n ) ... it should look something like this :

[root@192 rc.d]# route -n
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
